This is where you will be posting each of your contributions to the necklace and the explanation of the signifiance of your item\symbol. Remember that all tribe members must post "I am a proud member of (insert tribe name)" before their points can count. If a tribe member fails to do so before the 24 hour mark, their points will be taken out from the total of the whole tribe. Rules: You may make the necklace image larger to fit certain items that are going to be added. ALSO, make sure that one tribe member posts the final submition in this thread to finalize that you have in fact, finished the challenge. Take in account the three categories and the bonus points. Goodluck and have fun!!! Tribal Council should be posted shortly after the results are posted. CHALLENGE DEADLINE: TUESDAY JULY 6th, 9pm EST!!

The symbol I will add to the necklace is the Gye Nyame. It means "except for God" and is the African symbol for the supremacy of God. This unique and beautiful symbol is ubiquitous in Ghana. It is by far the most popular for use in decoration, a reflection on the deeply religious character of the Ghanaian people. If someone could edit this into the necklace I would really appreciate it, I'm not good with that stuff. I am a proud member of the Kwazula tribe.

The symbol I have chosen is Ankh. It is known as the symbol for physical and eternal life. Also known as the original cross. Many believe the loop to be the female sexual organ while the vertical part of the cross is the male organ. I am a proud member of the Kwazula tribe

Shamans are a large part of the culture in Africa. Shamans are believed to be a line of communication to the spirits. They're also known for their healing, leading sacrifices, preservation of tradition, seeing the future and being a mediator of certain events in society. Shamans use many tools in their practices which include gongs, pipes, animals...and even feathers. Feathers are largely used in ceremonial practices. They are also known to use a variety of bones, runes and sometimes bones made into runes. So what I've done is a small trinket to show this. I am a proud member of the Kwazula tribe. P.S. I'll be around later tonight and can add the pieces to the necklace if nobody else can or wishes to.

Symbol of love, safety and security
The home to the Akan, a West African people, is a special place. A home which has a fence around it is considered to be an ideal residence.
The fence symbolically separates and secures the family from the outside. Because of the security and the protection that a fence affords, the symbol is also associated with the security and safety one finds in love.
I am a proud member of the Kwazula tribe.

The masks, in the african culture, represent all the Gods, this maks represents the God of Victory, many african tribes use it when they are battling, so in this battle we'll be the winners and will be wearing this mask. I am a proud member of the Kwazula tribe.
